Hi, I'm Deb and I found the original list about 5 years ago when my Boston Terrier, Cosmo, was diagnosed at 1.5 yrs old, after "on again and off again" GI issues from puppyhood until the day he "crashed" and we got the official diagnosis. The prognosis at that time was "good" because we were told with medication and diet, we could probably get him another 4 months of quality life. Well... thanks to the wisdom, experience, and support from the list we were able to get him another 4.5 YEARS! I'm not sure how frequently I'll be able to get here, but I'd like to stay involved with the community and try to support others as they go through their journey with severe IBD/ lymphangectasia. I remember when I first joined the old list, it seemed every dog was slightly different, but it sure helped to share what each of us had learned and had success with. The best part of all was the support we were able to give each other - I know it made a TON of difference to me as the caregiver!
Thanks again for starting the list again!!!!
